Willard Larry Stith
Willard Larry Stith, 69, of Milner, Ga. won a seven- year battle with cancer on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010. Mr. Stith was born in Louisville on Dec. 26, 1940, to the late Willard Lewis Stith and the late Jeannette Harned Stith. Mr. Stith was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Ethridge Stith. Mr. Stith was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War, was a retired air traffic controller and a member of Grace Fellowship in Griffin. Mr. Stith is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sonja Graham Stith of Milner, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lewis Leon and Virginia Stith of Kell, Ill., and Garry Leo and Grace Stith of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Willnetta and Danny Lewis of Sun City Center, Fla., Annetta and Rois Martin of Jackson, Ga. and Emma Marcum of Custer; nieces and nephews, Michelle and Walt Louk, Butch and Cheryle Stith, Kenny and Deb Mattingly, Tonya and Dale Wilbur, Chuck and Donna Marcum and Larry and Lisa Marcum; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special aunt, Margaret Moore.
Friends can visit the family Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral for Mr. Larry Stith is Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Grace Fellowship, 1450 Macon Road, Griffin, Ga. The Rev. David Gooden will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Mr. Stith will lie in state from noon until the hour of service at the church.
