Mark T. Scott, 55, of Brandenburg, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at his residence.

Mark was born Oct. 10, 1955, in Baltimore, Md., to Mary Blare Scott and the late Donald Scott. Mark was a practicing attorney in Brandenburg, Ky., and was a member of the American, Kentucky and Meade County Bar Associations and had graduated from the University of Louisville Law School, a member of the Brandenburg United Methodist Church, had retired from the United States Army at the rank of Major and was a member of the Elizabethtown Emmaus Community.

He is survived by wife, Pat Scott of Brandenburg, Ky. ; sons, Tyler Scott of Lexington, Ky., and Collie Scott of Brandenburg, Ky.; mother, Mary Scott; sister, Carolyn (Mark) Roberts of Baltimore, Md.; brothers, Greg (Liz) Scott of San Jose, Calif., and Jeffrey Scott of Baltimore, Md.

Visitation with the family was held from 4 8 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home and from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at the Brandenburg United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Brandenburg United Methodist Church: Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Meade County Pets in Need Society.
