Hill Grove, Irvington, Muldraugh, New Brandenburg, New Highland, New Salem, Payneville,
Raymond, Rock Haven Community, Slem, West Point and Wolf Creek. (There are other Baptist
Churches in and near Meade County which are not members of the Association.)
HILL GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH HAS HOSTED THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE SALEM BAPTIST
ASSOCIATION THE FOLLOWING YEARS:
1843, 1859, 1883, 1902, 1922, 1935, 1945, 1957 and 1996. Hill Grove was scheduled to
be the host in October 1987, but due to the death of church member Ralph Ogden Stith,
First Baptist Church of Brandenburg was the host in our place.

Mary Philpot Doner (Mrs. Tom Doner) was born November 28, 1899 and has been a
member of
Hill Grove for almost 85 years having joined on profession of faith during a
revival in August 1912.
Elizabeth E. Stith was born May 8, 1919. She became a christian in July 1930 and
was
baptized on August 24, 1930 in Tobin's pond.
K.E. Burkhead was born August 6, 1906 and has been a member of Hill Grove for
almost
25 years having transferred his letter in November 1972.
Thomas J. Stith was born February 5, 1915 and has been a member of Hill
Grove for 67
years having joined on profession of faith during a revival in July 1930.
