Richard Cocke, Jr b 12-10-1639 (but he was called the Elder for some reason) b 12-10-1639
and his wife Elizabeth; He was son of Richard Cocke, Sr b 9-5-1602 ENG d c 1665 Henrico
Co., VA and his wife Temperance Bailey (sometimes seen as Bayly) born Bailey's/Bayly's
Point, near Jamestown. Richard and Temperance lived @ Bremo (part of Curles Neck), Henrico
Co., VA. Their Bremo homesite was later the site of The Battle of Malvern Hill
They had a son Thomas Cocke b 1638, older brother of Richard, Jr. They also had an even
older brother William Cocke who was a Henrico Co. Burgess and married Jane Flowers. Flower
Dew Hundred was named after her family and was where several of my own ancestors lived and
died.
