Will of Benjamin Sheklet
In the name of God Amen this sixth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty one I Benjamin Sheklet of Westmoreland County and State of Pennsylvania being very Sick and weak in body, but of Perfect Mind and memory, Thanks be given unto God, therefore calling utno mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it hat Pleased God to bless me with in this life I give Demise and Dispose of the same in the following manner and form Viz,
I give to my son John Sheklet whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament all and Singular My Lands Mesuages and Tenements by him freely to be possessed and enjoyed and Likewise one Chesnut Soral Horse.
Second I give to my grand Daughter Sarah Quick the Daughter of Barbery Sheklet the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds pennamoney and the interest that is in the Hands of Levi Wells, and likewise my Beed and two pillers, two Sheets to Blankits one Coverlid Bolsiter. I likewise give unto my grand son Benjamin Sheklet one Shot gun after my Decease and also I give unto my son John Sheklet of my moveable Estate and Elizabeth Tucker, Jain Setterfield, Ann Stillwell my four children all my moveable Estate to be equally Divided among them after my Desease and I do herby uterly desallow revoke and Disannul all and every other former Testaments, Wills Legacy and Bequeaths and Executors by me in any ways before named will and Bequeathed, Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in Witness wherof, I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this year and year above Written --- Signed Sealed published and pronounced and Decleared by the said Benjamin Sheklet as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who were present at the Signing and Sealing therof.

The Seventeenth day of July A.D. 1784 came before me James Walker and Philip Rogers to
of the above Signing Witness to the last Will and Testament of Benjamin Sheklet and on
their Solmn oaths being seperately examined say they saw the said Benjamin Sheklet Sign
and acknowledge the same to be his last will and Testament and that they signed the same
in his presence and in the presence of each other.

MEMORANDUM that Letters Testamentary were granted unto John Sheklet Executor of the Estate of Benjamin Sheklet Deceased late of Fayette County. Inventory to be exhibited into the Registers office at Union at or before the Seventeenth day of August next and an account or reckoning on or before the Seventeenth day of July next ensuing. Given under my hand Seal of office at Union July 17th Anno Domini 1784
