Edith Shacklette, Josephine Shacklette, Edward Shacklette, Hamp Shacklette and Geneva King are in a boat crossing the icey Ohio River down by Little Bend, Ky. They are coming from Alton, Ind. after attending school. This picture was taken Feb. 16, 1917 around 5 p.m. The old Shacklette farm still remains with the family today.
