From Harriet Fast Scott:

My mother did a great deal of work for a Mrs. Burch and her daughter Mary Stark who were Mormans in Utah. Leven Simmons was her great-grandfather so she and Brenda must be related rather closely. They had despaired of ever finding their Scott ancestor but my mother found the death certificate for Alice Glover Scott, the widow of Thomas the Kentucky pioneer, saying she was born in Charles County Maryland. If you ever come to see us, we will take you to the church where he was baptized and show you "Indian Quarter", the farm on which he grew up. Thomas Scott's children were (from his will): William Scott, Thomas Scott, Samuel Scott, Joanna Slaughter, Charity Simmons, and Elizabeth Simmons and Alice Simmons. The three Scott girls married Simmons brothers. All of this information is in the Mormon Church files, by the way, supplied by Frances S. Fast for Mrs. Stark and Mrs. Burch.

My mother's records have a letter from Mrs. Stark saying after Samuel Simmons died, Elizabeth sold the farm and moved to Hancock Co Ill. Leven married Harriet Bradford there. She md 2nd John Welch/Welsh who became guardian of her children. I find no other children for Elizabeth by Welch.
